Video: GRWM Feat. theBalm Nude Dude Palette

Ever since I bought my theBalm Nude Dude eyeshadow palette a couple of weeks ago, I have been completely obsessed! I love the mauve-y purple tones throughout an otherwise neutral palette. It’s definitely my cup of tea when it comes to eyeshadows and I had a ton of fun creating this GRWM look! What’s your favorite eyeshadow palette at the moment?

Let’s dig through my trash and talk about all the items I’ve used up this month! This is probably my favorite type of video to film and to watch from other YouTubers. Since I finished up all these products, I can give you a pretty solid review and let you know whether or not they’re worth buying again.

What items have you used up this month?

Project Use-It-Up: 3 Week Update

It’s been 3 weeks since I embarked on this Project Use-It-Up (more frequently known in the beauty community as Project Pan) challenge. I’ve been incorporating all 5 of the products I chose every (or almost every) day in my makeup looks. Here’s the progress I’ve made:

The most obvious change from 2 weeks ago is that one product is GONE! That’s because I completely used up my Too Faced Shadow Insurance… finally! Now I’m 1 down and 4 to go. I have a feeling that the 4 remaining are going to start running out all at the same time in a few more weeks, maybe with the exception of the eyeliner – that one seems to be going particularly slowly despite my incessant use of it.

I know you can’t tell, but I really feel like the Lip Insurance is on its last leg. Good thing, because it’s starting to acquire an interesting (gross) smell, kind of gasoline-like. I probably should just throw it out, but I’m determined to use it up since it does still work, at it is an expensive product.

The Wet n Wild eyeliner, like I said, isn’t going so great. I’ve been using it every day on both the top and bottom lash lines (even though I HATE using pencil liner on the top.) There’s definitely a little bit of progress, but just looking at the pictures it seems like it’s practically the same as it was on day 1.

On the other hand, my Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells trio is going pretty steadily! The bottom shade is basically gone, but I guess there’s a itty bitty bit more I could scrape out. I’ve been using the top and middle colors as eyeliners, as well as the top as a cheekbone highlight and the middle as a contour color! That trick has helped me useIMG_1614 these up even faster.

Lastly I’ve made significant progress on my Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Color in Sheer Pink Lust. For some reason the top has gone down at an uneven angle, but I can tell this will be gone in the next couple of weeks. I have no problem wearing and reapplying it multiple times every day, since it’s the perfect neutral everyday color! It’s really more of a tinted balm/gloss than a lipstick and it’s very comfortable to wear.

This project has been really fun so far, and I can’t tell you how rewarding it felt to toss that Shadow Insurance into my Empties bin! I’m excited to finally use up these older products (some of them TOO old) in my collection.

Have you ever tried doing a project pan challenge? Let me know how it went!

Video: Dollar Tree Haul

If you want to find some amazing cruelty-free makeup, I highly suggest you check out Dollar Tree! This time, I found a ton of Wet n Wild Fergie items in addition to some e.l.f. products. If I had paid full price for everything I bought, I would have spent $31.50… but I only spent $7!

It definitely isn’t difficult to shop cruelty-free on a budget. Have you found any gems at the dollar store lately?

Video: Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review/Demo/Comparison

It took some time, but I’ve pretty much fallen in love with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I’ve never tried the famous Beauty Blender, but I don’t think I need to. For $6, this sponge makes applying foundation and concealer so effortless! Check out my video for a full review along with a demo and comparison with my go-to foundation brush.

Have you tried the Real Techniques sponge, or any similar Beauty Blender-like sponge?
